چکیده

The acquisition of the precise spatial distribution precipitation is great importance and necessity in many fields, such as hydrology, meteorology ecological environments. However, arid semiarid regions Northwest China, especially over mountainous areas Heihe River basin (HRB), scarcity uneven rainfall stations have created certain challenges gathering information that accurately describes for use applications. In this study, accuracy estimates from eight high-resolution gridded products (CMORPHv1-CRT, CRU TSv.4.05, ERA5, GSMaP_NRT, IMERG V06B-Final, MSWEPv2.0, PERSIANN-CDR TRMM 3B42v7) are comprehensively evaluated by referring to observations 23 HRB using six indices (root mean square error, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, relative error Kling–Gupta efficiency) different temporal scales. results show at an annual scale, MSWEP has highest entire basin, while PERSIANN, ERA5 most accurate upper, middle lower reaches HRB, respectively. At a seasonal performance IMERG, superior other all seasons reaches, Over PERSIANN displays smallest deviation except spring. shows spring autumn, summer winter, monthly products, with relatively stronger almost every month, GSMaP inferior products. Moreover, perform best, favorable statistical around station, worse performance. addition, tends overestimate higher values, values basin. overestimation appear upper reach area, area. Runoff Simulation by SWAT Model Using High-Resolution Gridded Precipitation in the Upper Heihe River Basin, Northeastern Tibetan Plateau

The scarcity and uneven distribution of precipitation stations in the inland river basins of the Northeastern Tibetan Plateau restrict the application of the distributed hydrological model and spatial analysis of water balance component characteristics. This study used the upper Heihe River Basin as a case study, and daily gridded precipitation data with 3 km resolution based on the spatial int...

Accuracy evaluation of two precipitation datasets over upper reach of Heihe River Basin, northwestern China

As an important forcing data for hydrologic models, precipitation has significant effects on model simulation. The China Meteorological Forcing Dataset (ITP) and Global Land Data Assimilation System (GLDAS) precipitation data are the two commonly used data sources in the Heihe River Basin (HRB). This paper focused on evaluating the accuracy of these two precipitation datasets. A set of metrics ...

Evolutionary trends of drought under climate change in the Heihe River basin, Northwest China

The present paper focused on the analysis of drought in the Heihe River basin based on daily precipitation data observed at 13 weather stations covered from 1961 to 2010. The spatial and temporal variation of drought was estimated by means of the Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI), linear regression analysis and inverse distance weighted analysis. The SPI series on 1-month, 3-month, 6-month...

Evaluating Impacts of Industrial Transformation on Water Consumption in the Heihe River Basin of Northwest China

Growing water scarcity is one of the central challenges for sustainability in China, given its burgeoning industry and huge population, especially in the arid and semi-arid inland river basin where precipitation is very limited. Industrial transformation is an important engine of economic growth, which is required to be implemented by governments at all levels in China. Economic models have gen...

Economic Valuation of Ecosystem Service in the Middle Basin of Heihe River, Northwest China

The ecosystem service concept is becoming more and more acknowledged in science and decision-making. Taking an economic valuation approach, we quantified the economic value change of ecosystem services for different land use types in the middle basin of Heihe River, Northwest China. Eight ecosystem services indicators were selected: raw materials production, crop production, gas regulation, hyd...
